VNUS Closure-FAST, Third-Party Finance More information.VNUS Closure-FAST, Third-Party Finance
Since October 2009, the Vascular Surgery Department at DERMATOLOGIKUM HAMBURG has been a co-operative partner of the GNA (Gesundheitsnetz Alsterdorf GmbH). This means treatment can be paid for entirely by a health insurer. (See www.gnweb.de )
As a result of this co-operation, patients who are insured by BKK Beiersdorf AG, Continentale BKK and BKK Linde can now undergo treatment with VNUS Closure-FAST without having to pay for it themselves.
This is possible due to a pilot contract between BKK Beiersdorf AG and Gesundheitsnetz Alsterdorf, which can be extended to other company health insurers. Some health insurers also pay therapy costs on a case-by-case basis.
Patients who wish to take advantage of this should come to the clinic at the Department for Vascular Surgery at Dermatologikum.
In the clinic, a patient examination is carried out. If an operation is necessary, an application for funding from the health insurer is made unless they are already party to the pilot contract, mentioned above. If the health insurer agrees to pay for the treatment, then the patient does not incur any costs for the pre- or post-operative examinations, nor for the operation itself.
If the health insurer refuses to pay for the treatment, the patient will receive an invoice for € 75.
The following health insurers pay the costs of Closure-FAST treatment:
BKK Beiersdorf AG
BKK Linde
BKK PHOENIX
Die Continentale BKK
HEK
BKK S - H
BKK Pfalz
Novitas BKK
Esso BKK
Bertelsmann BKK
DAK - Unternehmen Leben (now DAK Gesundheit)
BKK Axel-Springer (now DAK Gesundheit)
BKK Gesundheit (now DAK Gesundheit)
